Steeped
in history, this talk covers ghost stories both humorous to tragic,
from old salts to Baltimore hons. A costumed performer will regale
your group with tales of Fell's Point as it was, an 18th century maritime
village bustling with sailors, immigrants, and ladies of the night
calling out of windows to passers-by and walking in and out of the
boarding houses and taverns that lined the streets. Some of the colorful
characters include a seaman with a penchant for a polka, Miss Julia
who rewards cleanliness with cold, hard cash, and Edgar Allan Poe
who used to frequent many of the neighborhood's taverns.
